Laboratory Animal Production/Testing and Preclinical Research Unit
The objective is to ensure the breeding and experimental use of laboratory animals—including transgenic models required under specific conditions and for particular biological agents—to evaluate vaccine candidates in terms of clinical, microbiological, and immunological efficacy and safety during the development, improvement, and implementation of novel vaccine technologies. Furthermore, it aims to cultivate a specialized workforce for experimental applications, establish physical facilities in accordance with international regulations and biosafety levels, and create the necessary infrastructure to meet the scientific requirements of both Türkiye and other countries.
