To identify strategic research areas and develop projects aimed at encouraging scientific studies in vaccine research and development against zoonotic infectious agents that pose a threat to human health and life; and to ensure the establishment and shared utilization of infrastructural processes.

Moreover, the unit aims to:

• Design and develop effective, safe, and next-generation vaccines to prevent current pandemic risks.
• Develop and expand the candidate vaccine portfolio for infectious diseases.
• Strengthen the scientific and technical infrastructure required to respond more rapidly to emerging outbreaks or pandemics.
• Evaluate the possibilities of immune-mediated treatments through antigen presentation.
• Accelerate local and national vaccine research.
• Enhance the quality of global research and development through collaboration between universities, the private sector, and public institutions.
• Provide support for the expansion of immunization efforts.
